In 2025, I started developing iOS applications. This has been a long interest of mine, but I haven’t been comfortable enough with the Swift Language, the language of iOS, to be effective. With the advent of generative AI tools, I have been able to translate some of skills in other programming language to Swift. The following represents the apps I currently have available.
Pizza Planner
An application that is designed to help assist in planning a pizza party. The app uses the baker’s percentages approach to defining a dough recipe. You are able to use pre-written recipes or add your own. When you are ready to plan the party, you select a recipe, enter the number of people and / or pizzas desired, and the recipe is scaled automatically and saved into a log.
Wall Art Tool
Aligned with print and photography interests, I have created an app that lets you virtually frame an image from your camera roll. The custom framing includes options to set the image position within the frame, change the mat color, adjust the size of the matting, adjust the frame size and color. Once your piece is finished, you can use augmented reality to virtually hang the photo on your wall.
Pic Pals
Photo printers, like your body, need to be regularly exercised to stay in top form. Photo printers clog when they sit idle, and the usual remedy is a nozzle-cleaning cycle that wastes ink. Pic Pals removes the trouble of regular printing and turns what would be wasted ink into prints worth keeping — a family photo, every day or two.
Best of all, it makes printing for everyone in your family or invited circle of friends simple non-technical and accessible.
The print queue is executed by a companion desktop app. Load a stack of 4x6 paper, set an interval, and come back to a small pile of photos. When nobody has queued anything, it prints a generated ink test that fires every channel — so the printer keeps working even in a quiet week.
